Dakar Rally 2010 stage 13

Patronelli brothers were far from today’s winner Decklerk finishing fifth and sixth, but Marcos still keeps a nice gap in the overall standings in Quads. Peterhansel won in Cars while Ullevalseter did in Bikes.

Marcos Patronelli is close to be the winner of the Rally Dakar Argentina – Chile 2010. Tomorrow, the last stage will end in Buenos Aires. His brother Alejandro remains second in the standings.

Peterhansel won in cars followed by Al-Attiyah, who is Carlos Sainz closest competitor in what promises to be a tight and thrilling ending. Before the last stage, the gap between the two Race Touareg drivers is minute: a short 2?48”. The margin of Sainz has never been this small since he took command of the standings on stage 5.

Norwegian rider Pal-Anders Ullevalseter won the Santa Rosa stage; it is his first Dakar stage victory in any Dakar. He also gets to second place in the general standings behind Cyril Despres who was second. The Frenchman has a comfortable lead.
